If you’re reading this, congratulations — you’ve officially made the guest list. Either we love you deeply, or you have some really good blackmail material on us. Either way, you’re in.
We made this website because answering 47 versions of “So what time does the ceremony start again?” didn’t sound like our idea of a good time. So everything you need — times, places, dress code (yes, please wear clothes), RSVP details, and other important stuff — is right here.
This day means the world to us, and we honestly can’t wait to share it with the people who’ve laughed with us, cried with us, and maybe even witnessed some of our more questionable life choices (you know who you are).
So mark your calendars, warm up your dance moves, and prepare your livers — we’re getting married, and you’re invited to the chaos.
Love,
Dylan & Maddie
Dylan and Maddie first crossed paths in 2016 at King Street Hotel—where Maddie used to work and Dylan used to party.
It wasn’t until 2019 that Maddie decided to slide into Dylan’s DMs, having the absolute audacity to call him “dude.”Dylan, deciding to forgive this slight, kept the conversation going. The two became fast friends, going from texting all day to chatting on the phone from sunup till sundown.
By 2020, Maddie—who had become a single mum after adopting her son, Pumpkin—finally admitted that maybe, just maybe, they were more than just friends. Without hesitation, Dylan packed up and moved from Port Macquarie to Cairns, arriving just in time for the borders to close. They jokingly said if their relationship could survive lockdown, it could survive anything.
Dylan became a dad overnight to Pumpkin, and the three amigos have been inseparable ever since.
November 14th, 2023
It was the eve of Maddie’s birthday, and Dylan had convinced her he wanted to take her out for a nice dinner—just the two of them.
On the way, he told her there was a surprise and blindfolded her.
For the next 40 minutes, Maddie took wild guesses (all wrong) about where they were headed, complaining about the blindfold the entire time. When they finally arrived, it took her a little while to realise where they were—being directionally challenged and all—before it clicked. They were at Redhead Lookout, the spot where they had their first date.
As the sun set, Dylan wrapped Maddie in a hug and asked, “Do you love me?” She laughed and told him, “Of course I do.”
When she turned around, there he was—down on one knee.
